It only runs on Mac OS, version 10.8 or higher. This software allows for most diagnostic techniques, including multiplanar reconstruction, maximum intensity projections, and volume rendering. It also has tools for manipulating images and making measurements. The Mac OS X installer expects the hard disk to be partitioned. So, the installer will not offer a partition selection to you. Before you can install the software successfully, start the Disk Utility from the Tools menu and partition the hard disk. Close the Disk Utility and proceed with the installation. A DMG file is a mountable Apple disk image file that is widely used in the macOS world for distributing software. The InstallESD.dmg file must be converted to a bootable in order for it to be compatible for inserting into the virtual DVD drive of a virtual machine that is running on VMware ESXi.

What version of Mac OS X do I need for the 2015 release of Creative Cloud?

The 2015 release of Creative Cloud requires Mac OS X 10.9 or later. If you have an older version of Mac OS X, upgrade your operating system.

To find the version of Mac OS X you have installed, do the following:

  • From the Apple menu, choose About This Mac. The version number of the Mac OS you're using appears directly below the words 'OS X.'

How much space do I need for a backup?

To see the size of a specific file or folder, click it once and then press Command-I. To see storage information about your Mac, click the Apple menu in the top-left of your screen. Choose About This Mac and click the Storage tab. For Time Machine backups, it's good to use a drive that has at least twice the storage capacity of your Mac.
